From an early age on Freek van den Beukel has developed a passion for form, color, drawing and painting. His approach to art is to convey a deeper meaning which he allows to subtly settle underneath the paint, through a mostly intuitive painting process.
He finds beauty in minimalistic use of colors and shapes, zoomed-in objects, and use of negative space. His favourite artists are Van Gogh, Rene Magritte en M.C. Escher.
Freek works as a professional sculptor and freelance illustrator, designer and painter.
